My WTB Service Truck, owned for over 15 years, was custom built at Western Truck Body in memory of my dad, Leo Zelent, who started Western Truck Body in 1958. During the Christmas season of 2017 I stayed overnight at a hotel in Langley BC.

In the morning, when I went to unlock one of the compartments my key did not work. I tried the door which opened because the lock tumbler had been forcibly broken by a thief. The compartment was empty, as were all the others. I lost many personal items and tools, some owned for over 40 years.

 

The value of the stolen items was approximately $6,000.00

I did NOT have an alarm system on my Service Truck. A properly installed Service Truck Security System would have triggered an alarm. I would have been alerted immediately via cell phone. 

I would have saved thousands of dollars and countless hours of wasted time recording and replacing stolen items.

These points are even more critical for people who earn their living from their Service Truck.

The result is that I decided to invent my own Alarm Pin Switch Bracket that attaches to each 'Whale Tail' TM or

T - Handle latch using the existing hardware on the latch. The Alarm Pin Switch Brackets become part of a

Service Truck Security System and the alarm is triggered as soon as a latch handle is turned.

Since there is nothing else like this on the market, I went through the Patent Process and my Alarm Pin Switch Bracket invention is now protected by CANADIAN & USA PATENTS.

I have been using my Alarm Pin Switch Brackets with a Vehicle Security System  since May 2018.

I am very pleased with the PEACE OF MIND that it provides.
